Charleston agent Raina Rubin goes everywhere … for family
Either the members of Raina Rubin’s family really do love each other or they have a special fondness for Chicken Kiev.
Despite being geographically scattered, the Rubins get together about eight times a year, a herculean feat in contemporary society. That’s a mark of a close family or they really, really love Dad’s Chicken Kiev, a specialty he often makes on the reunions.
Raina and her husband live in Charleston, SC, where she works as a real estate agent. Her oldest son and his family lives in Atlanta, Georgia. Raina’s daughter makes New York City her home. The youngest son will be starting law school in Miami, Florida, soon. So, they are pretty spread out.
Often, it’s a four-generation reunion. On a recent visit to her son in Atlanta, Raina brought her parents, who are in their 80s, to the get-together. That brought four generations of the family together because Raina’s son and daughter-in-law have two children.
Raina admits that other than exercise, she doesn’t have any conventional hobbies. She works as an agent, exercises and travels for the frequent family reunions.
