The first thing that struck me about Chris Faircloth was her joy filled voice.  She speaks in terms that are positive and, she has a “can do” attitude toward her personal and professional life.   I felt our conversation was that of old friends and yet, we had just met.

Chris and her husband Bryan have been married for nearly 18 years.  Their household is ruled by 2 “spoiled rotten” dogs, Jack, an 8 year old Shar-Pei and a 5 year old Lab mix named Hope.  Bryan is a project manager for a large contractor, primarily working in the industrial, commercial and military arenas.

On their honeymoon, on the island of Jamaica, the Faircloths were introduced to scuba diving.  Although they loved their experience, it wasn’t until the year 2000 that they became certified divers.  Over the years, Chris and Bryan have traveled to many different Caribbean Islands to discover the wonders of what lies beneath the ocean’s surface.  However, a 1 month trip to the island of Fiji stands out as one of their favorite diving trips.  Bryan is an avid underwater photographer and with Chris as his “scout,” he has taken beautiful photos of the ocean world.  Some of his pictures have been featured at a few galleries in the Virginia Beach area.

Chris is a native of Virginia Beach and a resident of Chesapeake Bay.  During the warmer months, she and Bryan enjoy biking throughout the area.  This not only includes biking for leisure, but also running errands and going to dinner.  They make a concerted effort to “go green” whenever possible.

Each year Chris adopts a charity to support.  This she does by earmarking a percentage of each of her closings to donate to her chosen charity.  This year she has selected the food bank of southeast Virginia.
