What Does That Mean?

CRS - CERTIFIED RESIDENTIAL SPECIALIST

I am very proud to have earned the CRS designation.  This is the highest designation awarded to sales associates in the residential sales field.  Some people in the industry consider this the PhD of Real Estate.  The CRS designation recognizes professional accomplishments in both experience and education.  In fact, only 4% of all Realtors in the country have the extensive experience, commitment and hours of advanced training necessary to call themselves a Certified Residential Specialist (CRS).

ABR - ACCREDITED BUYER’S REPRESENTATIVE

This designation, the benchmark of excellence in buyer representation, is awarded to real estate practitioners by the Real Estate Buyer’s Agent Council (REBAC) of the National Association of Realtors.  This designation certifies that I have attained the credentials to be a buyer’s agent.  Only those who meet specific educational and practical experience criteria can use the ABR designation.  While there are over one million Realtors in the country, only about 4% hold the ABR designation.

CSP - CERTIFIED NEW HOME SALES PROFESSIONAL

This designation is achieved by successfully completing a comprehensive course designed to promote a greater knowledge of the factors and forces that influence new home sales and construction.  A broad understanding of how the home building process works is essential for the Certified New Home Sales Professional (CSP).

ARS - ACCREDITED RELOCATION SPECIALIST

Understanding relocation and the special needs of the transferee, as well as successfully completing courses designed to best help relocating employees are requirements for this designation.  The J.D. Reece Co awarded this title prior to the merger with the J.C. Nichols Co which became Reece and Nichols.
